Users and purpose

Young people, university students and recent graduates should discover relevant opportunities without repeatedly visiting fragmented publishers. YouthOpp presents factual titles and original links. It also supports practical AI learning and visible open-source contributions.

Experience

The site and project documents are English. Source titles may retain their original language with language metadata. Opportunity categories and destination-country catalogs are prebuilt, paginated static pages. Large datasets are not loaded into every browser.

Show title, publisher, original link, category, known dates and last-check information. Separate source country, destination country and eligible countries. Unknown information is never presented as a confirmed condition. Expired deadlines and stale sources are visibly handled.

The site has a detailed About area, source directory, public Docs, contributor profiles and contribution instructions. No sign-in or applicant data collection is needed for core discovery.

Documentation and trust

Public Docs cover mission, architecture, adapter contract, source research register, data policy, scoring, accessibility, operations, AI governance and search/analytics setup. Source records state what was researched, when, what they publish and how access works. Research gaps remain visible.

Nonprofit purpose is not registered charitable status. Listings imply neither partnership nor endorsement. Contribution scores do not predict employment. No invented statistics, source verification badges or supported outcomes are permitted.

Release checks

• Data is attributable and schema-valid; errors and missing metadata remain explicit.

• Catalog category/country pages and pagination work with bounded page payloads.

• Source URLs, language attributes, keyboard access and responsive layouts are checked.

• Contributor snapshots are reproducible, documented and distinguish automation.

• SEO metadata, sitemap, structured data and share assets describe actual content.

• Search verification and analytics are configurable; missing account identifiers are not invented.

• Independent QA records evidence and unresolved limitations before delivery.

Operating cost

Use public GitHub repositories, scheduled Actions and Cloudflare Pages as the baseline. A free architecture operates within provider limits, not unlimited resources. Document quotas, bounded fetching and degradation rather than promise unconditional free availability.
